Default gas tank leak

is there anything other than the sending unit assembly that could leak on the top of the fuel tank?
i only gtet a gas smell when i launch it hard or make a hard right corner,& only over 1/2 tank, and the top of the tank is damp, but not around the sending unit, i already pulled that out and resealed it twice. im assuming my tank has a hole in it unless theres maybe a retarded fitting for the vent or something.[&:]

Im thinkin a hole. I really have no clue how you would find it though. You could take a blow torch to the tank lol

Well.. to narrow it down. Hard right= all the gas pushed against the left wall of the tank. So.. start there

the good part is it dont leak bad enough that it even drips off and the sides of the tank wont even get wet, its just a little on the top in front of the sending unit. if that cover isnt over the hole it reeks like hell inside the car though.

Put some soapy water where you think there is a hole. It will bubble thereif in fact there is one.

I thought you needed positive pressure in order for that to happen?

cuz the top of the tank is wet genious. and it only leaks whens its over 1/2 tank and i launch it or make a hard right corner. you want to come look for yourself?
im just wondering if anything elses has a seal into the tank (return line or vent) other than the sending unit assembly.
