1997 Eclipse GS wont start again *HELP*
My wife was driving and the car overheated (due to a bad thermostat). When I arrived at the car, it started, and I drove it to the gas station to fill it up with water. After that, it started up and idled for about 5 minutes. I turned it off, went into the resturant, and came out 10 minutes later and tried to leave and it would not start. I towed the car home and checked compression, leak down and plug fouling, revealing everything was fine. I replaced the plugs and put them back in and hooked everything back up. It will turn over, fire up for 2 seconds, then die. If I give it gas, it just chugs at around 1500 RPM slowly. Is there a sensor that runs off coolant that could have been damaged by overheating? Anything else it could be? Thanks in advance....
