So heres the deal im a owner of a 98 eclipse spyder GS and i love it. However there is this kid that owns a 94 850 turbo wagon made by volvo and infront of anyone incuding girls he will bash me to death about how my car is crap or sucks or he will be able to beat me in first! so i am tires of it and want to make m car faster to finaly get him to stop talking! As of right now he is faster in a straight but on a curvy road due to my skill and exp i will be able to win but i need help on what i should do to my car to beat him my spyder has the 4g64 engine and i was thinking about doing the whole turbo project adding cold air and even adding nitrous but i could use all the help i could get!

Mistubishi people please help me emerge from this and get him to stop!

So if i put the turbo in my Gs will i be faster than a stock GS-T?

 

depends on the setup, but generally with the way i would suggest going about it id say you would be a bit faster. The problem is that engine has limitations as far as what it can handle

 

well i was thinking about strenghtining the engine with stronger rods and such so i can push it as far as i can get in order to roast him!

Because since he knows i have the oprutunity to beat him hes getting a 2005 wrx wagon in order to beat me!

well if you really wanted to go all out on that car you could do a full engine build, then a turbo setup, and also an AWD swap.

 

Yeah once i recover fully from my pitbull atack and can work again full pace i want to do a lot of my car and drag race it a lot on weekends at a local strip!!!!

 

Yeah this summer im either getting a Gsx which i drove one the other day there amayzing or the 3000gt vr4 spyder i love the way those look pretty sweet and sico fast i raced one the other day just for fun and there mad fast they hook and go!
I put high preformance and spark plugs in my car and no lie did 0-60 in 7.6. But did two runs after that and got only 8.0 and a 8.7 so ill see! But i love the looks of my car people tell me all the time that just stock there pretty cars! But the 7.6 thing makes me excited cause thats what the volvo does well when the engine was new! So the fact ill win on a curvy road might just be extended to the straight line! All i Can do is cross my fingers and hope the gears land rite! Thanks again guys!
