RE: BOV
If your plan (which I imagine it is) is to release to atmosphere... youre going to need a whole lot more than 'just a BOV'. In which case, I feel the need to tell you... all that does is make a hiss sound. It does in NO way give your car more power. If anything, it may make life harder for your car.
Either way, like DSM there said, it all depends on your price range. A 'crushed' 1G BOV will hold boost well, and work perfectly fine. You can get a more expensive one... but why? Just steer clear of Ebay parts. You should be fine. Oh, and I would STRONGLY suggest recirculating as opposed to Releasing to atmosphere.

RE: BOV
i agree with the recirculating bypass valve its all around better performance wise and healthier for the vehicle . while the wooosh is nice it has the possibility of turning your engine into a paper weight lets think about why . as the air pASSES YOU MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR AND IS COUNTED BY YOUR ECU so the ecu tells your injectors how much fuel to dump into the cylinders the you shift blowing all that counted air out of your intake system into the atmosphere but your ecu doesnt know this and continues to dump fuel for air that is not there any more causing rougth idle stalling at low rpms and possible detonation. do it the right way the first time and save your self a lot of cash and heart break
