Default Battery Trunk Relocation

hey so i need/want to relocate my battery to my trunk... Jegs has a full kit for about $85 that includes everything needed to get my battery back there and mounted in a nice box... has anyone else relocated they're battery to the trunk? and have you used any other/cheaper method?

you can use autozone parts. Get the black marine box, and some battery cables. the longest battery cable stretches from the engine bay, through the engine harness grommet (below the glove box under the carpet), all the way to a little past the rear strut tower. Save yourself about 30 bucks

Glad to help brother. To answer your question nick, you can relocate the battery in order to change the weight ratio of your car, or (in my case) relocate it so you can fit more in the engine bay.

I have a Stinger dry cell mounted in the right corner of my hatch but that's just for the stereo system and is hooked up by relays and stuf like that from the front.

im doing it because 1)it's looks cleaner with it out of the engine bay, and 2) I have shaved door handles, and a 6-point rollcage. So if my battery dies i cant climb through my hatch and the cage to be able to pop the door open or the hood release
