Default Check Engine light codes...

Hey guys. My check engine light came on a couple days ago and I finally went to Advance Auto Parts so that they can read out the codes for me. This is exactly what it says on the print out:

DTC (codes)

P0135
O2 Sensor Heater
Circuit Malfunction
(Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P1400
Manfacurer Contrl.
Auxiliary emission
Controls

DTC Pending (Codes)

No Faults Detected.

Does anyone know what this means exactly. What do I need to fix?

you need a new 02 sensor. I think that should get rid of both codes. The first code is cuasing the second code.

Do you know where that O2 sensor is located? Does that print out tell you enough information to where I can tell where exactly is that O2 sensor located?

did you clear the codes? id reset the battery and see if it comes back on before replacing the 02 sensor. there are 2 the only important one is on the turbo 02 housing, if you look down near the turbo you will see it stocking out through the heat shield with a wire running from it.

How do I reset the battery? Do I just unplug the battery for awhile?

Is question is a little bit off this subject. But, IF I purchase a downpipe that replaces the cat, will the "check engine" light come on?
