GS or GST
first off, im 16 and entirely new to cars, but am getting very interested in them, i have to decided to buy a 95-99 model eclipse, but im not sure if i want the GS or the GST, i am looking forward to putting alot of money into this car and cannot figure out whether the turbo is worth it or not, when i could get the GS and install a much better turbo. so which should i do, buy a GS and get a better turbo, or get a GST and just stick with that turbo?

RE: GS or GST
very bad idea to get the gs, if youre wanting to go the way of turbo. The reason they cost so much less is because they have a completely different motor from the turbo ones, which cannot handle very much power.
The gs has a 420a n/a engine, while gst and gsx have 4g63 or 4g63t. the 420a cannot stand much power with the stock internals, while the 4g63 can take up to 400 hp.
Putting a turbo on the 420a would require a lotttttt more work and a lottttt more money to get to say 350-400 horsepower.
Basically if you're wanting to go really fast, get a gst or gsx. not gs.

RE: GS or GST
you should not even think about getting a GS owned one didn't like it too much. I have a GS-t right now and I am really happy with it if you are going to spend a lot of money i say go get yourself a GSX which is the all wheel drive turbo. you can replace the turbo the fuel system without messing with internal you can go up to 400hp. If you have enough money get a GSX. You will be happy with it.
