do you race?

depending on your driving habits, it can go out as early at 20k or it could last over 100k. i have 90k on my stock clutch in my 3G.

Iv'e had the car for about 10,000 miles and up until now the car's ran like a dream. I just hit 70k and the cars in great condition. I got the car at a dealership and the previous owner was a girl, not to be sexist but that very well could have contributed to the clutch going at this point. I dont beat on it too much but i dont baby it. How much am I looking at and the reason why I think its the clutch, to begin with, is i cant shift into the gears cleanly,it dosnt grind but i need to force it into gear and feel its way in. Its not smooth at all,it feels like the clutch is not disengaging. How much am I looking at and any adivce too what kind of clutch I should get is greatly appreciated. Can this problem be my shift linkage or something else maybe?

that doesn't mean its the clutch. it could be the tranny.

when you change gears and hit the gas, does the RPMs go up for a second then it seems like the gears catch?

No,the only problems I have is getting the shifter in each gear. Could it be the linkage.

yeah i would change the fluids before changing the clutch.

the main symptom of a clutch going out is when you switch gears, hit the gas(with the clutch depressed), and the engine revs before it catches.
