actually i would recommend the 190 over the 255 because the 190 really is sufficient enough for you and the 255 is more of a pain cuz you will have to get a fpr. Sounds like someone is trying to get more money out of you or something

putting a 16g turbo in my car, 97gst, my mechanic who "specializes in DSM" said 190lph fuel pump is stock. Is this true? he said I must have a 255.

THere are two 255 walbros. The high pressure and the low pressure. I ran the 255lp on my 95 GST for over a year w/ the rest of the system stock and had 0 problems. In fact my car ran BETTER. Its just $100 shipped for the 255lp so why not?! Wheres the smack myself in the head smiley when I need it. Sure the 190lph fuel pump would be suffecient for the lil 16g but I know you'll want to go bigger so leave yourself some room to grow and get the 255lph

All depends. If you're going to stay stock and never upgrade anything else and the 190 is cheaper then yeah it's a mistake. If you're going to upgrade the turbo eventually then no it's not a mistake. It's part of your supporting mods for an upgraded turbo.
