you will need an led test light or oscilloscope, the interrupt signal is very short (cyls x rpm x 2)
or turn the engine by hand.

Since the cas measures out of spec, thats a good place to start.
Im assuming you have no spark..?

if youre measuring as per haynes spec, and it fails, fix it.

What would i go about fixing if its the plug showing low volts. Could i tap 12 v into it from batt ery to see if it will crank?

depends where it comes from you can try a flying hot lead, but the ecu might not be happy about it.
Does it measure 12 when it IS connected?
Does the batt measure 12? Does another hot wire close by?
Does that lead come from/to an igniter unit?

kidding. Dont do that. Youll probably loose your timing advance.
Dont know what cas you run, photooptic or whut, id try getting a replacement...see if it works. If not its something upstream.

Altho... Light stays lit... The interrupt is going to ground, probably through the cas...?
