Default oil pressure problem

the oil pressure on my 95 eclipse gst is acting up. as long as i drive it normal the oil pressure stays dropped and no pressure reading but if i push it alittle bit the gauge (stock) creeps up alittle but goes back down. does this mean that i dont have any oil pressure or is my gauge not working right. how can i check to find out what it is any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey man. I actually have the same thing. How hight does the oil pressure go? If it doesnt go past the one little mark before it actually hits H, then i thinks its fine. If you look in your Mitsubishi Manual in your glove department, anything inbetween the high little mark and the low little mark, is NORMAL. I am pretty sure its ok. I hope this is right, because I have the same thing. Mine never reaches too high. Hope this helps.

if you didnt have any oil pressure you car would have blown up in the first 3 min of it running. Chances your stock gauge or your sensor in the back of the block is bad.

thanks for the help guys i just forgot to mention that the oil pressure stays at the L point on the gauge so maybe it could be the sensor or the gauge, so for sure if i didnt have any oil pressure it would have messed up already???thanks!!!
