95 eclipse gst engine rebuild questions
ok so im fairly new to the engine rebuilding process, and well i took apart my internals and i had spun a bearing, i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to do this correctly...
i am looking to do a stock rebuild and bore the block .20 over, what brands of parts do yall recommend i go with also the machine shop i took my block and crank to said my crank had scaring and they were gonna shave or something like that to 30(any info on that would be great) also do yall recommend to eliminate the balance shaft?? please if anyone can give me some knowledge on this i would greatly appreciate it!! thanks

im not too sure on ur internals but if your ovr or getting close to 100,000 miles i recommend you redo ur entire exaust system it will help in the long run with compression issues if u havnt had some already but i do kno that u can buy engine rebuld kits for around -800 to 1200 plus that have everything you will need to do a full rebuild http://www.rpmmachine.com/engine-reb...tsubishi.shtml or just look around on google for engine rebuild kits

are you really serious....omg your engine blew so redo the exhaust. That is one of the stupidest things ive heard. Your exhaust has NOTHING to do with compression.
I would reccommend you go to the dealership for the bearings. Youll need oversize bearings for the mains due to the crank. Also if your pistons are fine then i reccomend just leaving the bore the way it is and reuse the stock pistons. Just replace the rings and hone the cylinders as you normally would. If this is all something you have never done before then i either suggest you leave it to a shop to do or you get a manual because everything needs to be done correctly otherwise you will have problems.
