Default Sputtering while driving

Ok my car when running at about 2500 rpms sputters and misses real bad 95% of the time. Do yall thanks plugs and wires could help that qreatly or think it might be something else. Also does anyone with a gst know what relay that is mounted strait behind cyl #3 it clicks fast but can only hear it from inside but can just barely hear it from outside. Does it hurt anything Thanks for any help

I just bought a gst 98. Like you the car, sputtered when accelerating. I changed the plugs and gave the car a general tune up and this stopped. Good luck.

could be the plugs/wires, but they are usually more of a problem at high rpms, not low. If it only sputter when you get on the boost, you may have a boost leak somewhere in your intake piping.

It isn't as bad when i'm accelerating as it is when i hold it at around 2500 rpm (about 55mph). I think that plugs and wires probally have a big part of it but i'm not forsure. What do yall recommend on plug wires NGK of someother brand? Thanks alot

Magnacores are also good wires. Definately NGK irridiums for plugs. They burn MUCH hotter than platinum.

for plugs, stay away from iridiums, DSMs love NGK BP7ES or BPR7ES, roadrace sells a set for $10. They also sell a set of magnecor plug wires for $79, which is cheaper than replacing the stock set at the dealer.

Interesting. What problems do irridiums cause?

I had the sputtering problem in my old '97 Spyder GS once...It would only happen under 3000 RPM..Replaced the plugs and wires, problem solved.
