Default spyder performance

ok i know im new to the import thing i am a dirt guy i have a 91 cherokee that i 4x4. but i would like some tips on what all i can do to my 2.4 to make some good power. it already has a cold air intake. but what else? i know exhaust. what about a msd or a chip what will give me the best hp/tq for my money. and would a turbo be worth the money i like to do things my self and would have no problem installing a turbo kit. but right now im on a budget. also can the 2.4 take spray ok? i was thinking a 50 shot but if you all think other wise let me know.

thanks,
Curtis

you aren't starting off on a good note if you are going for peformace in your car. the 4g64 is non turbo'd therefore not built for holdin or suporting boost. you can hook up a 50-65shot onit but anything over 50 won't last more than a year i'd say. however it wouldn't take much to build it for spray, with new rods, pistons and rings, you would be good for 100-125shot. i never suggest putting a turbo onto a non turbo'd car unles you have a nother car to drive and plan on rebuilding the engine and have a some relatively deep pockets.

RCJ isn't the 4g64 an easier setup to turbo than the 420A. I am sure i read somewhere with ppl swaping parts from teh 4g63 on to it and building somethign decent up.. I know it somewhere lol can't find the links.. to back up this claim yet. gonna go look..

Ask and you shall receive...info that is
Tuner's info....you know what to do.
The 2.4 L 4G63
Talk info.
7 bolt 4G64 build up w/ DOHC head
Club DSM Southwest
Project 4G64

This info goes towards the Spyder with a 4G64 also, or any car with a 4g64.
There's a lot more info on this than that, but that should get you started.
