Uhhhh...i dont think you can make it run as well without, as it can with. Aftermarket bov doesnt cost that much. Greddy type S bolts up the easiest, i believe.

The cheapest way to get quick power out of your car is to get a boost gauge, and a manual boost controller. you can gain something like 50 hp by running 15 psi(The max your stock fuel system can safely run at...Otherwise, there arent any ways to get out of spending money.

running your BOV that way will make your car run horrible and kill gas milage and cause more turbo lag and make the car slower. DONT DO IT lol.

I have a stupid question. What exactly does the manual boost controller do? And what does it connect to?

Your manual allows you to turn up your boost from either 8 or 12 (can't remember) to whatever you want (15 max as stated above on T-25). It just a simple twist of a ****. Looks like this:

Your stock BOV on that 2g is not very good. Leaks under higher boost. Venting that BOV is not a good idea. Your car will run horribly! Plus MOST of the time you need something like an AFC to vent so you can compensate. Get used to spending money because you can hardly do one upgrade without another and if you take the cheap route your car will live up to the DSM name. Good luck!
