Default Who has installed gauges?

Im tryin to install my Air/Fuel in my 97 gst spyder. I wired it to a white wire that goes in the ECU. I got some signal... its always in lean. At full throttle in is constant lean(center), decel- its drops all the way down then shoots up to the higher part of the lean section then back to the middle of lean at idle. I really dont think my car is always running that lean. Maybe the signals bad? Any ideas? anyway else to get a signal?

I just pulled the spark plugs and everyone of them are black as can be (Carbon). I guess its running rich as a ****. When I went to install gauge looks like someone had on before, wiring looks alll @#$@#$ up. Any ideas?

you wired it wrong. all it does is reads a voltage an it sounds like its reading the wrong voltage. at full throttle is should be on the richest setting, at decel it should be on the leanest setting or even dissapear completyely. at part throttle and idle it should bounce back an forth constantly

get a reader and see what the cel is, also for the wiring, the manual for the gauge will tell you what to wire it to, then check what color the wires are in your haynes manual that you got purchased before you started to work on your car.

For the rich factor... if their arent chunks for carbon on the plugs then they are fine thats normal wear. The extra black could be from a oil leek but for the most part a stock ecu wont make the car run rich... unless you have a bad 02 sensor which could be the cel.
