Just purchased an 01 Eclipse Spyder GS a few days ago. While test driving the car in the rain, I did not see any leaking from the top, but after I purchased the vehicle, I noticed water leaking inside on both sides of the doors right behind the side mirrors and running down behind the tweeter speakers.

It mostly only happens during heavy rain, and a few hours ago my window was splashed by another car and it really starting pouring in. Looking at the rubber drain gutter strip, it seems the door may be pinching the drain at the point where the water is coming in and overflowing into the car. I found a pic online and circled the area and attached it.

After a few hours of googling I have found a few posts about the same problem but have been unsuccessful in finding a solution. It seems to be more of a design problem and I'm hoping someone knows of a common fix.

Any info you can provide here? Mine is doing the same thing - water runs in behind the mirrors and drips down the doors.
