CPU I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2.4L, 2 DR Convertible.
The car would stall during acceleration, like getting onto the Interstate, going up a hill, etc. My mechanic said it was showing 2 bad O2 sensors. They tested the sensors and were ok, so said it must be a bad computer. I need to know how to get it out of the car so can send in to a rebuild company. Got the 2 gold color bolts out but seems to be a clip or something holding on the bottom end? Can't see how to pull it out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know anything about this but I saw a video where someone was having similar issues and they took the connector off the ECU and there was corrosion on the connectors.
They cleaned it with some electrical contact cleaner and that fixed the problem.
I would give contact cleaner and re-seating the connector a shot before sending it in for replacement... It will only cost a couple bucks to try and could save you hundreds if it happens to work..
You might want to try and find a service manual online that should explain how to remove the ECU if you don't get a response soon.

I don't have that answer for you sadly.. If you can locate a service manual it would help you out...
If you don't get an answer here you can try calling some dealership service departments and ask until someone looks it up and tells you (you don't have to only call locally if they aren't answering your question)
Again generic advice but I don't know if this vintage has a factory immobilizer and where the keys are stored for that but if it's in the ECU and you replace it you might not be able to start it until you have a dealer program your keys back in.
