Yes exactly. Based on your questions I am going to say this, Do alot of research and stop asking basicly the same question over and over. I am breaking it down very easily for you at this point. Now you need to research all the parts needed to turbo your car.

You are looking at spending somewhere around $10-$15,000 at least in order to only get like 400-450WHP. It is not worth it. you could just buy an Evo 8 for that now and already have a car that will better suited. Just to turbo your car only without building the block or doing a head swap is still going to cost around $4000 and your car will only beable to make around 300WHP without starting to put your motor at risk.

Older Evo heads the only one that will work is the Evo7 since it is exactly the same as the Evo8 but harder to get and pointless. Anything older than that will not work because the motor faces a different direction than your Eclipse.

That's the point of the evo 8 head swap, our 3g eclipse's cam gears are on the left when looking into the engine, the 2g eclipse is mirror image of ours, everything is opposite, even tranz is on opposite side, the Evo 8 (mitsubishi lancer evolution VIII 2003-2005) is the ONLY head swap we can do that will work, also if you're doing a turbo i suggest using the Evo 5 after market radiator, it has both upper and lower water necks to the right side so they're out of the way plus it's a dual core instead of our pathetic 5/8 inch radiator. i'm new to this forum, not the car. i am currently in the middle of a evo 8 head swap w/ Garrett gt4088r turbo; over all goal around 625 to the wheels, also if you really wanna spend the money you can convert to awd and do full evo 8 engine swap, everything does fit, just some mod required, but remember, with awd it's a 30% drive train loss. so for power and money wise, evo 8 swap is the way to go, but this is NOT for the unexperienced, this is a SERIOUS project, i'm already 4k deep into this and i still need another 9k. reason being, i'm buying everything top of the line. NO EGAY crap.
