My car!! Yeah, so I was on my way to Iowa to a convention with my sister right? So on the way thereInoticed avibration in my steering wheel. I stopped and checked it out and I was missing a lug nut. I thought that was strange and when I looked closer, The LUG WAS GONE TOO!! I was 96 miles away from home and was like... umm yeah, we're going home NOW. So I tried to go home and about 10 miles on the way home I decided it would be best if I put the spare on. So I tried to rip off the lug nuts and what do ya know, they're stuck on except one that will only go half way on. So I figured if I couldn't get them off then they wouldn't come off the lugs on the way home; so I continued on the way home. About 16 more miles later the vibration got really bad and I pulled off the interstate right then and there. I got out to check the lug nuts andthe four remaining lug nutswere all on. I thought that was weird for how much more it started vibrating so I looked at them and went to jiggle one and IT FELL OUT! not just the lug nut... the lug stud cam with it... and another one did the same thing. So now I have 2 lug studs and 1 and a half lug nuts *remember that one that would only go on half way* So I called a toe truck and finally got it taken to a dealership where when they got the car off the truck guess what? The 4th lug nut came off with that stud too!!! Now I have 1 Lug stud and NO lug nuts!!!! So the service guy told me they'd have to fix it tomorrow since it was like 4:18 pm when they got my car.... I looked at the rim and it didn't have the balancing weight on it anymore. So I gotta call up the place I bought the rims from and talk to them about sending me a new rim and paying for the damage on my car.

 

How long have you had tose wheels?

 

Maybe 2 weeks...if that.

 

sounds like they overtightened them and stretched the studs out

 

Update: So I went and picked up my car at the dealership and put my two good stock rims and tires on the car and while I was taking off the passenger side rim, it ripped off another lug stud [:@] and they decided to tell me that my lower ball joint is bad and needs replaced soon. Which while I was replacing both front rims I looked at them and found that both driver side and passenger side ball joints need replaced... WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!

 

I hate it when that stuff happens im always saving money for upgrades that I want and I end up having to fix something.

 

Wow dude that sucks major ***. Someone is at fault....
