Default car overal rating

hello guys & girls...new to the forum..

i am interested in 07 eclipse spyder..(maybe going to buy early next yr)

but..i am getting lots of negative feed backs from my friends and etc...

they tell me mitsubishi cars are not reliable....they say i should consider S2000 or 350z roadster...or other brand..

but i want to ask you guys...(since you probably have mitsubishi cars in your garage already)...how is the quality of the car?

do cars break down easily...???

how would you rate your car??

recommend buying or i should listen to my friend...

any reply would help me decide...thnks.

well buying a first gen is out of the question because mine has been broken as long as it has been running. but when it runs it runs darn good. especially being a gsx.

i think as long as the car has not been over abused and well maintaned there arent' many problems to be had, i've had my 99 eclipse gs for over a year now and the only 3 problems i've had w/ it were a thermostat, heater hose and oil pan gasket... as long as the oil is changed as recommended and fluids are kept up and timing belt is changed every apx 80K miles... i dont know of any major problems. although if you do look into a 2g eclipse GS-T or GSX there is something called Crankwalk that will come into play.
