Default Clutch and Flywheel

I am going to be ordering a clutchmasters stage 1 clutch and aluminum flywheel. I was going to buy a Fidanza flywheel but the manufacturer said they won't work together. Does anyone know why the two wouldn't work? Is it because pattern or flywheel thickness? Cause the Clutchmaster one is more expensive than the Fidanza flywheel..

Honestly, I dont like the clutchmaster kit. I would avoid it.

Secondly, I think you are being bull****ed as to what will work with it.

Why are you replacing the clutch anyway? You seriously burned up the clutch on the car in 2 years? An OEM replacement is just fine for the car. It will last longer than the clutchmasters clutch anyways.

If you really want a performance clutch, the brand I trust, is ACT. I have had them, and beat the hell out of it, and it stood up just fine. The Fidanza flywheel too, its bad ***, and everyone I know has one, is very satisfied with it. I actually just sold one to a member on here.

Lol no I haven't burned it up yet, I was going to upgrade the clutch and flywheel together with the short shifter at the same time for faster acceleration. I was thinking it sounded like bull**** too when they told me that. I was thinking they just wanted more money so I came to you guys for more opinions. I was going to uprgade the flywheel so I figured I'd get the clutch too and just do it as one install. So you really think the OEM one is more efficient and will last longer than the Clutchmaster one? Have you or anyone you know had problems with Clutchmaster before? Where is the best place to buy an ACT clutch kit? Thanks for the input Sebba, it is well appreciated.

I suggest not listening to them in the future. The power gains you will get, with running close to stock numbers is so small. The only real difference is in the way the car revs up. Why would you drop 1000s into it if it doesnt need it? Just seems pointless.

True...but you think the Fidanza flywheel is a good idea and just leave the OEM clutch?
