from a performance vs. cost standpointshould I stick w/ 14"s and h-rated tires for $508 or 15"s for $650. I <U>need</U> new wheels and don't know what to go w/. these are the only options I am considering. factors for consideration are weight, $$$ , handling , andturn radius. <IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">Oh this is on my lowly lancer ES

I would go with 15's or 16's

16's are not an option money or personal style wise

because of style of performance? cuz if I keep the 14's I'll have a tighter turn radius and slightly lighter. right?

i got 17's right now with nitto tires but i want to upgrade to Diablo 18's. go to www.americanracing.com (http://www.americanracing.com) to find yea some rims. Wheel and tire rack is a good way to get cheap rims and tires. just a thought....

see now your just not listenin' 14 or 15 -performance vs. price. I guess 17"s would fit but the tires alone would cost more than the full setup of 14 or 15's and at this point that jus doesn't fit my wallet. and 17"s would dramatically effect my turn radius for the worse. roads in WV are better suited to a car that can take tighter turns a la canyon racing. not that I've found anyone around here that does while sober, but that's more my driving style.

I'm planning on going to tires.comfor my package. take a look and tell me if I want the Rage Enduro or the Rage Euro? I know they're not Konig or OZ or Motegi butthey're not factory and they fit my wallet. I think I'm gonna wrap 'em in nitto's. I have a white '02 ES but it looks more like an OZ cuz of the spoiler. someone give me some help please 14's 0r 15's only. thanx <edited><editID>madmat</editID><editDate>38123.4227546296</editDate></edited>

whatever floats your boat. i have no problem with my 17's. but they would hurt your wallot. get a kit. one of them deals where you get a set of rims and tires all in one?

<FONT color=black>Either choice would be very good, they're both small enough so that the sidewall of the tire can make them virtually the same size. Low-pro's on the 15's can make it seem like a normal set of 14's. </FONT></P>
<FONT color=black>However, Since i'm way more into performance, go with the 14's and a good set of tires. I'd say go with a 14x6 wheel and 205/55/14 tires<FONT color=black>. You'll get better cornering ability and possibly a better drag racing setup. DO NOT CHEAP ON THE TIRES!!!!!! Remember, if you drive aggresively (and i know you do<IMG src=smileys/smiley15.gif border="0">), the tires are the <U>ONLY</U> things holding you on the road!!!! My personal favorites are Falken Azenis, but since they are kinda expensive, my next favorite street tires are the Bridgestone Potenza's. Bridgestone just came out with a new tire series called Fuzion, Check em out, they should be cool and cheap.(They don't carry the Bridgestone name, but they are manufactured and warrantied by Bridgestone/Firestone)</FONT></FONT></P>

thanx SpyderGS[sm=smiley20.gif] I knew I could count on you[8D] how about nitto premium tourer or falken ziex zx512 they are both H rated and we know that (unfortunately) my ES will never out run an H rating[:o] I'm thinkin 195/60 or 185/60 stock is 185/65

I noticed that too.. how many people have 16s? I'd start 17 cause thats the most popular size on imports these days
