so i met a dude that is a leader in a crew called "Ruff Ryder" well he asked my friends and i to join, and he told us that he will give us a shirt, license plate frame and SOME performance parts for free.......well seeing so, he has a 1990 CIVIC hatch with LS V-tec swap, and he has a STI, he claims to have the civic boosted with 450 fwd. and that runs 9 secs on the 1/4. with no roll cage. well theres a guy around here that is sellin a 1990 GSX that this dude wants to race before hand for "Slips". he said he will take it, and the gsx has 500 AWHP. even though i know the Gsx has it off the line. what will happen down the 1/4? the guy with the civic claims that his civic will beat it. waht do you all think?

I was saying the same thing. 450hp if that is true he would be running low 11s probably. and I highly doubt its running that. I saw the fastest hatch in the world a few years ago and it only ran in the 9s so what does that tell you

I call BS on him. First off, 450 whp from an LS engine (1.5L SOHC if I'm thinking of the right one) is highly unlikley unless he's got some serious $$$ wrapped up in it. There are guys with 1.8 SOHC Mirages in PR that are making well over 500whp and still only running 10's and 11's. I say that GSX would take it.

ok well heres the link to that GSX (http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/189716903.html) and at the bottom if you click on the link its got a dyno sheet. lol so you know thats not bs. but yha i thought itd be hard for a civic to have that much hp and a fast 1/4 like that,
