So we're all down for a meet, a few things to nial down here:

Saturday in late march/april sounds great. I don't know what we should do, but we have plenty of time to plan it and actually make it pretty sick.

We should definitely let any other cars can come. I got a buddy with a 300zx. He's dropping an rb26 in the beast this winter and I know he would love to come show it off.

We need to get out the exact plans so then we can start inviting people. Who knows, it could be HUGE.

Ok, so it'll be open to all years, makes and models. Import focused, but domestics and exotics (not that I know anybody with an exotic) are welcome as well. That leaves us with an event and a date. I'll do some diggin around, see when tracks start to open back up, when particular SCCA races, shows, etc. are taking place. And if anybody's got ideas, lets hear em!

Ohio Swap Meet is suposedly the biggest show in Ohio, possibly the mid-west, and there's one comming up May 25-27th. It's not showing exact times yet for the show, but it runs Fri-Sun. It's a little later than what we had talked about, but I think it'd be a pretty good time. I would only suggest going for maybe Friday night and all day Saturday at the most, since most of us will have school, work or both come Monday. What do you all think?

berea huh thats cool ive probably raced you before if you run at 42 or norwalk like i said in my new members post i probably wasnt running a triple diamond then i was a honda guy for a while but w/ my recently aquired beauty i got lucky and got this smoking mitsu my 64 year old step mom has had it since it was new and it hasnt set on a rack any where else but a mitsu dealership i mean this car is clean but im not exactly where to start w/ a mitsu like suspension ,intercooler, upgrade the turbo or what i guess when i get it out in the spring ill find out so having a tuner as close as berea could help out so im sure wel run into each other sooner or later but i want to get the eclispe down to 42 or the walk before i get into dumping cash ive got a few companys that i trust their parts cause ive used and abused them and the held up . but i want to see where zippy (the cars name) stands and what can help her out but. first things first i want to get down the 1/4 mile a few times to blow out some carbon . So ill be out and about all my wonderful v8 killers are hiding under their tarps till this white crap goes away then they will be back out and hunting mustangs again. looking forward to talking to you soon also nelson ledges hosts some parking lot races and there is a track at the honda plant that im pretty sure we could get a hold of but that one isnt cheap it would cost some cheddar . due to the fact its the honda factoy teams practice track but hey its a helluva nice track to get down on but ive only raced my hondas there and that was against a few porches needless to say i got my ass handed to me well peace out

Ok, i just checked the Ohio SCCA schedule, the first test & tunes are Sunday, April 1st and Monday, April 2nd (don't ask me why they decided to do it on a monday). It'd take some doing, but I might be able to make it to the April 1st event, what say you guys? It's at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, registration is $40 I believe (price has shot up since last I checked)

I've gotta hold it down for the champaign county area! Currently located in Mechanicsburg, Ohio not too far away from Marysville. I'm driving an '02 Eclipse GT. A nice little get together would be awesome!

i wasn't too far off, mapquest says it's roughly 2 hours and 40 minutes from your zip code, but since it's a Friday night and everybody gets off work at 5, I'd allow for an additional 30 mintues or so. Columbus rush hour/construction is not much fun. If you'd like, we can set up a meeting place for those of us who would have to go through Columbus to get there and everybody kinda caravan down. If that's something you guys are interested in, it wouldn't be too hard to orchestrate, there's a Home Depot right off 71/270 that we could all meet at if the caravan deal appeals to everyone. Also, I've got at least 5 or 6 local guys who are interested in comming, although only 2 of them own Mitsus.....well, one owns a 2g AWD talon, but w/e.

And Wingo171, I've been to Mechanicsburg on a few occasions, actually we (as in my team) always scrimaged Mechanicsburg in football about a week before our first game back in high school.

So here's my proposal, everybody who is going to meet up in Columbus be at the Home Depot parking lot, gassed up and ready to go no later than 4:30. That'll allow a few minutes for introductions and such, we can be on the road again by 4:45, and with traffic and all, that should put us in Circleville just in time for registration.

And, depending on how many of us from the forrum show, do we want to have a "Mitsubishiforums.com" sticker/sign or something?

For those of us who are North of Columbus, or have to go through Columbus to get to Circleville, here's what I've proposed (and you guys need to let me know if this is going to work for you all):

For everyone who's situation applies, we'll meet in the parking lot of The Home Depot (6333 Cleveland Ave, Columbus OH, 43113), leave from there around 4:45-5:00, depending on when everyone arrives, and caravan down to Circleville (roughly a 45 minute drive, give or take a few). The address is 23625 Us Highway 23 S, Circleville, OH 43113, and is at the local Wal-Mart.

For those who would be driving out of their way to meet us at HD, they should meet us at 6:00pm at the location of the show.

If anyone has any other suggestions, or this won't work for people, let me know so we can come up with an alternate plan.

Well, I should have my car all ready to go by then for sure. If I go, here is the route I am taking. I will meet up with you guys at the Home Depot. Here's a map of my journey if anyone is along the way we could possibly set up a spot to meet.

Welcome to the board. Ya.....so the meet was kind of a flop on account that they canceled the show because of this rediculous ohio weather. When will you guys have your cars ready so we can try to plan another one. And is everybody stilll up for the Springfield show?

I'm 30 minutes from Dublin by the way. If you're not doing anything in 2 Saturdays, there's a little cruise in here in Marysville that me and a few of the locals are going to try to hit up. Never much of a tuner turn out (Marysville's nothing but old muscle), but we figured what the heck why not. There's no cost for registration and we just sit around and goof off all night. So if you guys are free, come on down.

What's the one in springfield again? I'm currently trying to save up money so I can get my dents removed, body kit put on , and car painted which will hopefully get done SOMETIME this summer which should cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 to remove the dents, $800 for the paint, and idk how much getting the body kit put on is going to cost me yet.. Granted that does mean I'll be without my fun ride for prolly a week or more through the summer, but I feel it shall be worth the wait :DMy mom is currently going through cancer treatment so I'm helping pay the bills right now, which makes it hellaciously difficult to save up for the car, but my mother def. comes first.

Sorry to hear about your mom dude. If you're free this weekend, you should come down for the cruise in. It's in the Burger King parking lot right off US 33 across the street from the YMCA. Registration begins at 6 and awards are handed out around 9 or shortly after, no registration fee either. I'm supposed to work till 7:30, but I'm gonna see if I can get out a little early. There's usually a pretty decent turn out, but like I said, not much of a tuner crowd. You and ralliart girl should come....it's a bit of a drive for everyone else on such short notice and for such a small show.

Lil bit of an update: The cruise-in mentioned abouve turned up just over 100 cars, mostly classic muscle. I was the only Mitsu there, along with 2 Toyotas (my friend's Celica GT and an old Supra turbo) and a riced out Civic. Unfortunetly I didn't have my camera with me, but there were some pretty sweet cars there. Favorites were a 69 Z28 and an old Shelby Cobra. Anyway, they basically have a pannel of 10 judges, each picks a car, and there's your top ten. Well, apparently one of the judge's son's was diggin my audio/video/lighting set up (we were actually watching We Were Soldiers during the show) and I walked away with a trophy.

Looking foward to a meet with all you guys, anybody got any ideas for shows/races to meet up at?

Hey all this is my first post so i figured i would post it in the Ohio group.

I'm from lancaster,Ohio and i drive a 99 Mirage 1.5L it's an auto and it only has an intake and tail lights at the moment. I've got an Evo 6 bodykit but im not planing on puting it on untill i get my evo swap done.

And as for car shows or meets, There is pretty much always something going on in Columbus. Most people hang out at Quaker Steak and Lube in Polaris on Friday and Saturday nights. And sometimes we hang out at the Flow skatepark on groves road(south east side of C-Bus!) there are other places as well but those are the 2 biggest.

Quaker Steak @ Polaris might be good, there always seems to be something happening down that way. I just gotta find a Friday night that I have off
