View Full Version : What do you do?
Lil Evo 09-11-2006, 12:26 AM Ok, so what do you all do when a POS car revs at you? Today for instance, I'm on my way to Wal-Mart to pick up a couple things and a mid-90's ford escort WAGON revs at me. What do you say/do in a situation like this?!?! Give the tires a good spin and in the end have only wasted a car that hits "Mart-Kart" (i.e. those little scooters that the really old, almost dead people ride around in stores) speeds. Or do you let them squeek their tires and let them think they're Jonny Badass for a few minutes? I was in the turn lane in this particular occassion, so neither of these was an option for me in this situation, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had to deal with morons like this.
davidmitsusrock 09-11-2006, 01:12 AM typical every day ricer. guessing it was a teenager.
Lil Evo 09-11-2006, 04:08 AM i'd say early to mid 20's for this guy. had a guy in an old rusted out chevy full size pick up rev at me too (must have thought he was cool because his lack of an exhaust made his truck loud)
oh_what_up 09-11-2006, 09:49 AM As much fun as it would be to hurt their feelings, I think that letting them 'think' that they are tough **** is better than wasting the gas. Plus look at it like this; you did your good deed for the day. So now you can be an a$$ for the rest of the day and you won't be going to hell ;)
Silvertooth 09-12-2006, 02:12 AM Haha, I just choose not to waste my gas...
sherif_e1 09-12-2006, 05:24 AM Although, it is always nice to annihilate one of these guys who thinks his car is the bomb because a car magazine told him so... You know your going to dust him and so you race - you even let him get two car lengths lead and then you blast past him like he was standing still. Shooting 'em down does teach them a lesson though...
I nailed a brand new Golf R32 yesterday morning on the way to work exactly that way... The look on this guy's face was priceless ;-)
Silvertooth 09-13-2006, 02:04 PM Yeah it really does feel dope as hell lol. Sometimes I do it, sometimes not. really just depends on my mood, I guess.
99clipsgst 09-21-2006, 08:52 PM I have a late 90's firebird pull up next to me in the pouring rain reving his engine at me. I guess having numbers on your side window means your cool.
estraw 09-21-2006, 09:16 PM ha, the week i got my car, a sunfire pulled up and revved at me, since my car was new, i couldnt resist. now my cars slow as hell (like 17 second slow) and i kicked this things ass
Monkton 09-27-2006, 11:10 PM I've only had one car (other than friends rev their engine at me at the lights) and it was some ****ty Honda hatchback. All blacked out and ridiculous. It was in the Cutlass and that's an automatic so I popped it in neutral and just revved the hell out of my engine. It sounds pretty bad but it's loud because it's all rusted out. The person thought I had some muscle because they stopped after that lol I have yet to see what people do to the Mirage, since it's not on the road yet lol
dirtwagon 10-01-2006, 07:28 PM In the Outlander I don't do drag races....for good reason. In my Camaro I would race anytime, anywhere. I like the adrenaline rush and the win is the icing on the cake.

An exhaust and rims is all you need to attract the attention of every wannabe Honda boy in your area. The fist day I got my turbo 5g back in town, I had some kid in an accord (had one of those 3A Racing mufflers and that's it) pull up to me and ask i wanted to run. I don't know what generation you've got, but the downfall of the 5g is, to the untrained eye and from a distance, it looks like a late model Civic. So everybody and thier brother wants to race if you've got anything done to it.
I do miss my truck though........not that it was fast, it was actually slow as can be. It's just that nobody tries to race a truck with a lift and big mudders, ya know?
davidmitsusrock 10-05-2006, 07:01 PM oh yea my hondas got 6 turbos count em 6!
99clipsgst 10-06-2006, 07:21 PM I'm in Orlando and I can never seem to find anybody to race me. even when I'm driving around looking for a race it always seems like the cars that would race me are going the other way on the road
TheEngineer 10-06-2006, 08:17 PM thats suprising cuz orlando seems like the place for nice cars, cuz when i was down there i went to a meet that i guess happens every week at an intersection. It was crazy the amount of cars there
Lil Evo 10-06-2006, 08:40 PM why can't we have anything cool like that around here. Ohio sucks as far as imports go, the only thing we've got goin for us is an unbelievable football team (GO BUCKS!!!) and a growing hot spot for illegal immigrants.
