As long as it's a metal gasket. Chances are it is metal since you have to remove the plenum to get to the rear spark plugs. Manybrews 02-08-2007, 08:41 PM the plenum gasket, or the intake manifold itself? Ill assume you mean plenum.. In which case, the answer is yes unless obviously damaged. mentality 02-09-2007, 05:19 AM isnt plenum the same as the intake manifold? thanks for the info . silvercoupe97 02-09-2007, 08:40 AM Yup, but...when there's two intake manifolds, one is called the plenum (or upper intake manifold) and the other (lower intake manifold) is called the lower intake manifold, lol. When you say "intake manifold" in general, you could mean both the upper and lower, but when you say the plenum, we know that you mean the upper. The upper needs to be removed to get to the plugs. I took that at face value, Manybrews is trying to get you to be more specific for the others in here so that everyone understands the info that you're looking for;). To add on to MB's comment, be careful when removing the plenum so that you don't bend the gasket as it may stick to the plenum...it may not, but be careful regardless. cliff 09-14-2007, 02:32 AM ORIGINAL: silvercoupe97 Yup, but...when there's two intake manifolds, one is called the plenum (or upper intake manifold) and the other (lower intake manifold) is called the lower intake manifold, lol. How difficult is this task,to remove the plenum? cliff 04-15-2008, 01:53 AM How hard is it to get an answer? jgbrules 04-25-2008, 11:24 PM the plenum takes about 5 minutes to remove. look in the back part of it, there are 2 brackets that support the plenum and are attached by 4 bolts. not hard!! greg.... cliff 04-26-2008, 01:44 AM jgbrules, Thanks for you help, appreciate it.
