just make sure the lights arent showing AT ALL. The cops luv to pull people over for that, oh, and i would go with white only, any other color again cops would luv to pull you over for it, wich reminds me, make sure theyre not strobing either

you want to mount the bulbs as far up as possible so they are not showing....my friend tried installing it himself and it came out horrible on his bmw so professional installation is always an option if your sketchy about doing it yourself.....

and about the hookup... it depends on the brand as to where you can put them.. if they aren't SUPER bright.. you can't exactly hide them, that would be dumb.. but remember that you will hit rocks, and neon tubes don't like rocks. they come with little mounting brackets... go to a hardware store and buy more of those. I've seen people with tubes zip tied to their car... eww.

So is the white thing a fairly universal law or is that just your state, whatever that may be. I live in NH and just always thought they were all illegal, never looked into it though.

Underbodys are not illegal cops like to pull peole over that has red or blue light, same gos for strobe light.the cops think that you are trying to impersanate them, thats why you might get pulles over, and never have your underbody strobe lights flashing when you are driving.

I'm sure it's different from state to state, driving with strobes is stupid and I don't think someone would mistake a car with red undercarriage lights for a cop car, that's probably a bull**** excuse cops use to hassle people. I'm pretty sure some states they are illegal period though.

Well so far I found that they are illegal in any color in Michigan, at least on their highways.

i know in MO they are illegal in red and blue, and they CANNOT be strobes, of course when you park its a whole other story :D I saw a Grand Prix GTP with a really nice set of em and had the ones in his headlights that were strobes, well this guy pulls off and forgot his undercaridge strobes were on, next thing ya know POPO right on his ass.........

Yea, sitting in a parking lot with them is hard to miss, the cops probably hung down the street waiting to see if he'd leave them on when he left. It would be kinda a cool thing to do but red and blue are pretty much out no matter where you are. So I wouldn't know what color to do them in since my car is red.

I spoke to a police officer about it up her in good ol' VT and he told me that you can do the red or blue as long as they don't pulse. The pulse is gay anyway. The best thing to do is just find a local cop who you know not to be a dick and ask him. Or ask multiple cops if you want to be safe.

I'm down in FL and I have the 7 color 64 pattern lights. I got pulled over bc I had the lights on auto cycle. He told me that any color but blue is ok. He then wrote me a ticket wit the wrong statute on it so I didn't have to pay one red cent.

I just bought the flexible million color led kit from Sharper Glow. Gonna be nice to turn them on if im not in the car, and the flexible tubes are gonna save me some money im sure. Kinda tough up here in Michigan as neon lights are totally illegal unless you are parked, no exceptions.
