Has anyone ever heard of Arc audio?? I went to this place by my house to get a head unit installed cause I got a really good deal for the head unit and install. This guy is trying to sell me speaker for my car and subs and I have never heard of this brand(arc audio). Is it good or does anyone know what brand speakers/subs and amps are good?

http://www.arcaudio.com/arc/home_flash_final.htm Dunno, looks like a "mom and pop" job to me, but who knows, they could be mega super bad ass stereo components.

thats true, a guy i work with builds his own home stereo speakers and they will outdo ANY major brand on the market, just depends on the components and the knowlege of the person makin them.......... i mean these things will litterally shake your house apart, and thats at half volume with half base..............

For subs, Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, Alpine. For amps Rockford Fosgate makes a good amp, kenwood does also for the price they sell it at I think. I have a 15" Rockford in my car and it thumps, with RF amp, both 1000 watts, and it hits so hard. It also depends on what kind of sub you want, if you want it to be loud, or both being loud and good quality. It also depends on what kind of music you listen to. If you listen to rap I would say go with a 15" or 12"s, and if you listen to rock go with 10"s because a 15" is to slow, and 12"s might be also.

thanks nate5023. I usually listen to rock/metal and on a rare ocassion I will listen to rap. I want something that is loud and good quality. I was also thinking about putting 2 10s in the trunk, getting a 6 channel amp, amping the front and back speakers then bridging the subs. Would this be bad or good? and I dont know if the face plate matters or not but I have a pioneer face plate. This is the one I just got. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4039_63891888,00.html
Would amping all the speakers be a good idea or is there a better way?

Only thing wrong I see is that your actually going to want a 4 channel amp for your front and rear and a seperate amp for your subs IMO.

For the subs, if you have the money buy 2 mono amps, one amp for each sub.

If you listen to rock music, the best subs are infinity. They seem to hit real nice even if you want to go with the 12' but normally they recommend 10'. My favorite amps now are Planet Audio, they cost a lil but believe me, WELL worth the investment. Can't say i have heard of those speakers but who knows, could work out real well, depending on the price, id say go for it, make sure u get a warrenty or something with them so if u dont like em, jus blow em out and get ur cash back lol... not the nicest to do but hey, it happens

I have heard of Arc, but I have not heard good things. Never heard them myself, and i'm not sure where they come from.

Yea, if you like that kinda music go with a pair of 10's they fit the music better then the 12's. Also, unless you really wanna blast yourself I have never found the need for a speaker amp as long as you have a decent deck.
