went out last night, wasnt out there to long when a ss camaro pulls up looks at my car and laughs. we stop at the light he revs a little so i do the same, light turns green i rip out of the hole mmm awd by 2nd gear i have a car on him by 3rd i have about 3 cars on him. i let him catch up hes not laughing now, first thiing him and his buddy say is you have nos i tell them no they say we can hear it lol. i tell them thats a turbo not nos, so he wants to try it again from a roll. 40 mph top of 2nd i have a half a car top of 3rd i have about 2 and a half, he just shuts it down pulls back up and cant believe that he just lost to a 4cyl.

the car that gave me my best run was a srt4 neon with sime work done to it, we were alomst dead even tell top of 3rd going into 4th gear befor i pulled a car length on him.

You beat it from a roll nice job that must I thought it would of been a lot closer, my friends t/a killed my car from a roll but he has exhaust and intake and a lt1 not a ls1. What mods do you have, you must of done a lot, but nice kill.

the camaro was a 2k+ not sure what year exactly. i know he had exhaust done to his car but im not sure what else. my car i have

Cool, you're running a MAFT? Are you using an ls1 maf or ltx? I still have my translator from my spyder, i cheaped out and bought an lt1 maf, but apparantly it didn't work with my translator....I was like WTF, aren't they all the same?? Anyways, got my money back and now i'm sitting with a translator and no dsm.....grrrr[:@]

yes im sure it was a ss. i run 12s in the quater mile, so ss camaro, z28,svt cobra,evo 8,sti,srt-4,corvette as long as its not a z06. i can out run all these cars unless they have a whole lot of mods done to them.

96awd, with all the mods you have, and a bit more fine tuning, you should be able to hit 11's. But those are some awfully large injectors. What percent duty cycle are they at WOT and full boost? 680cc's can support like 500hp....

i ran the 12.9 at 21psi. i could have turned it up to 23 or 24 and hit a low 12. i just did not want to push it right now, but yea i do need to have my car tunned that would help out alot.just wish there was a awd dyno around here close. i will be running 11s pretty soon.

i want to be the quickest on any forum lol. i have a 6 bolt that im building right now, going to put a fp3065 on it trying to get to 9seconds:D but that will take a little time to get there

That is very believeable. I am running a TDO6H 20G at 24psi and have yet to even have a close call with one of these SS.


Do not underestamate though, the stock SS might be slower than you now but with minimal mods he will be back to walk you. AWD is great, but RWD is better all around.

The 680's was a great call on the evo 16G, that turbo HAS made around the 400whp mark pushed faaaaaar beyond its efficiency and on a built motor. If you plan on going to the FP3065 you need atleast 880's. We just installed an FP3065 in a 90 tsiawd. That car is WICKED fast. Pretty sick. I am not in the mood to run a car that quick daily. Feels like the car is just going to shred in every direction, LOL.

what all do you have done to your car? just hit me with a email, i always try to help people out we have to many guys in the dsm ranks that think they god and are just plain rude. or people want to charge everybody for everything they tell them. we need more people that just love these cars and want to see them fast. thats why its so hard to get a big meet anymore. the biggest one i have been to here in okc, there was 14 turbo dsm's it was nice. but again people are just plain rude. lol i will help all the can.

I started off with a 5.0 mustang, good amount of mods. (dad has a '70 440 6-pack challenger) so im kinda in a racing family; nowhere near a hick, but i have an interest in detriot american muscle. Anyways, i know some peopel with SS camaro's, WS6 trans am's... and from a start whooping one of those is quite an accomplishment. I had 512 gears in my 5.0, and SS stock has 323 i believe, thus making them dangerous from the take off, but thats it... they are cars made for the 1/4 mile...sure they have some power past that, but not much...so if your gonna race one, do it from a rolling start, and in the long run imported cars naturally have the top end speed

12.9??? You must have raced and LT1, Ls1 w/ a few bolt-ons would smash on you..C'mon now.. Ls1's run low 13's all day STOCK..

No dought stock LS1's are quick and pretty comon- maybe thats why others use them as a measuring tool when it comes to quickness in this modern era?
I am not really into Mitsubishi's but I have a hard time believing a car that runs 12.9 at 21PSI of boost can get into the low 12's with an increase of 2-3 PSI. I would venture to guess at a 12.7 -12.8 depending upon how maxed out that turbo is?
This is my first post on this forum. I am a turbo Dodge guy but I really like what I have seen and heard of the EVO's. Mike

the best part about the ls1 f-bodys are their top speed which is past 155 probably around 165-170 and most 4 cylinders top out before that. they also don't slow down until they top out. you have to love the ls1.

top speed in the EVO is over 170 the speedo reads 170 and they can bury them most NA 4 bangers wont come close but ehh well

LS1s are one amazing motor though

yep but I still can't wait to install my nitrous then it will be real fast. its only a 150 shot but over the summer when my forged 383 goes in I can continue to run the nitrous on top of that.:) also our speed limiter is at 168 but even that can be changed. Heck at 140mph i was only at about 3500 RPM in 6th gear still 3k rpm left too.

As for the assclown who said that Evos hit 170MPH, talk about a load of ****. Its a ****ing box on wheels with the aerodynamics of a brick, no top end power, and only 4 cylinder. They don't go 170MPH. LS1 F-Bodys go 172MPH, and that with better aerodynamics, 70WHP more, and real top end power.

Just because they Speedo says 170 doesn't mean it goes that fast. Anyone old enough to have a drivers license should know that.

seriously buddy before you come in here and trash talk us "4 bangers" you might want to know alittle bit about what the hell your talking about. An evo with the right mods will pull 11's to 10's easily without even a **** load of money dumped into them. And one of the fastest right now which is STREET DRIVEN is pulling high 8's. Oh and the stock internals on these motors can handle 500hp.

And i have all the respect in the world for v8's and muscle cars that run quick times and are well built, but its people like you that are so ignorant that just piss me off. Get a life
