Hello everyone,
I have a 2006 raider v6 durocross and it has 40,000 miles on it.I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the suspension or have had anything break yet that they know of.My truck seems like it has no suspension anymore ,you can feel every crack you go over and if you go over a speed bump (doesn't matter how slow you creep over)it feels like the wheels hit the wheel wells. The dealer said they all drive like this LOL yeah right. However they did find that the stabilzer links were busted and they did replace them and all the fender flares because of something pushing them out. I feel the problem is in the front somewhere ,like something is broken.Anyone have this kind of problem?

you're driving a truck.
it rides like a truck. It is designed for a heavy load, and has a ladder frame.

so yes, it rides terribly.

If the front end is all tight I would agree that its normal.

Shocks are known issue with these and the Dakota's check their forums and you will see all the complaints.
Mitsu and Dodge have done everything to deny the problem.

They don't list the raider but Monroe does list shocks for Dakota, Also Rancho lists shocks for Dakota.

shocks will do very little for a truck thats carrying hundreds of pounds of unsprung weight.

its a truck. if people dont like the way trucks ride, they probably shouldnt be buying trucks.

I have a 2006 Raider durocross, and it is a Rough ride. I once had a small Nissan truck back in the 90s and it too rode the same way. Trucks like these are long lasting durable vehickles and they will outlast the drive train twice.

Many of these trucks have had a shock and suspension issues.

Remember many more of these trucks were sold as Dakotas than Raiders. Check the Dodge forums for monroe shocks you will see many dakota owners have had shock and suspension issues. They were much happier after replacing.

Monroe or Rancho is the other choice. Raider is not listed on monroe's you have to look up 2006 Dakota.

I have about 80000 miles on my 06 Raider 4.7
I too felt like the suspension was getting a little soft therefor not absorbing
the bulk of the shock. I replaced the struts and shocks. Much happier now.

Do you have a rear sway bar. Mine does NOT It has the brackets for the stabalizer bar but no bar.

Can you check yours and see if it has one?
