hello eveyone. I just recently bought a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse gs spyder and I love the car. I dont know anything about cars but I just found out that the car is not made to race. Im interested in making the car faster and making it sound faster. can someone help me out?

a spyder to race? and a non turbo 4cyl at that.

It will take a lot of money to make that "fast" itisnt impossible but the spyder is super heavy and not very powerfull to begin with. Power:weight is bad even with a turbo kit. but the good thing is I think the GSX drivetrain can be dropped into the GS spyder 2Gs and a turbo kit can be easily made up of 4G63 parts off of a turbo model eclipses talons and galants and even the early model EVOs in japan if you want to import beter stuff;)

yeah, the 2nd gen Spyders (GS expecially) are not mad to do fast, they cost a lot of green to make em go.....BUT good news is.. if you want it to look good you can get any 2nd gen eclipse body kit on there (same from mirrors down) and is averagly priced to make 'em look good........ hope i almost helped in any way..... emonz would know WAY more than i ever would

got anyother simple questions PM me

I mentioned that as well. AWD Turbo spyder would be sick and it all bolts in the place of the 4G64, it would cost some money if you cant do the work on your own

Im not sure if it is direct, id imagein it would require some minor modds to work at the very least. and these parts can be found rather easily at junk yards any AWD DSM talon eclipse laser its all the same

thanks alot guys. That is a great idea tidus10 to leave my car in the garage. I have a white car so it blends in with the snow however the mud makes it look ugly. Emonz57 thanks for the site.
