I want to paint mine Blue. Is it a hard process? Do you need both paint and a clear coat?

not really a hard process at all. What I did was got myself some brake cleaner and a wire brush and first cleaned everything up.
I painted them with high temp engine paint and high temp clear coat
Rather then taping everything up that I didn't want painted and worrying about overspray. I Sprayed the paint into a cup and just painted with a paint brush, I believe I used a foam brush from like a crafts store. I painted 5 coats of paint and 2 or 3 coats of clear coat, and that was that

My car had NHT calipers on it when i bought it so that saved me some cash. I want to get some vented rotors in the futire but here's a pic of the calipers.

Kinda hard to see behind the cumbersome stock rim, but that will change someday.
JayDee, did the paint on your rotors even stay on after you braked for the first time?

^^yeah man all the paint is still there. 3 or 4 years later. my bad I painted the drums and the calipers. Nope no way the paint would stay on the surface of the rotors. Sorry for misleading. I will edit my post

LOL. as far as popping them off they actually came out really well for how they were done considering I did them on prolly the hottest day of the summer and my jack was sinking into the asphalt due to the heat :D
okay as far as rotors a kiko12010 on www.thegalantcenter.net has done this
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e101/kiko21/100_0585.jpg he powdercoated them

Those look a lot like the ProStop drilled rotors I've been wanting. $115 a piece
The bad thing about painting parts like that, is they look really bad when the paint starts to wear off.

Yeah but how much of it will you actually see when you install them?
