95 Eclipse GS, vibration at 50+MPH
I have a 95 Eclipse GS, 147,575 miles.
I just put on new tires, but I don't think this is a tire problem.
At about 50 mph and up, when I am driving straight and get into a slight pull, where I have to accelerate a little, I get vibrations. They feel like you are driving over ridges. As soon as I let up on the acclerator, they stop. If I accelerate again, just ever slightly, it starts again.
A mechanic told me last week that I need to replace the front engine mount. Could this be causing the vibration.
It bumps through the whole frame of the car, not just the steering wheel.
Thanks for any ideas.

RE: 95 Eclipse GS, vibration at 50+MPH
I discovered the problem. The tire place cross threaded 4 of the 5 lugnuts on the front right tire. As a result, only one lug nut was actually in contact with the wheel. They replaced the studs this morning and checked the wheel. Seems to be okay.
