Lancer Cedia cs5w 2001 AT Problem - No Drive any gear.
Hey Guys,
First time poster looking for a little insight before I declare Auto trans dead and swap it. Will try and give as much detail as possible.
Vehicle is a tiptronic automatic, 4G93 motor, 192XXX Km. trans code off the build plate is F1C1A which from googling is a CVT transmission?
No drive in any gear. When in drive or tiptronic flashes neutral light. When bridging pin 1 & 4 of the obd2 diagnosis connector it flashes neutral light code 24 at me. I think this is the code for vehicle speed sensor (VSS) but am unsure as difficult to find information on this JDM import. No check engine light on.
I am thinking the trans is toast, but my questions before I call it and pull it out to replace are:
1 - Could the VSS (if that is what trans code 24 relates to on this lancer) cause complete loss of all drive? My experience with other cars tells me no, but want to make sure as I have no experience with Mitsi electrics.
2 - Is there any other Mitsi specific problem that could be causing this other than the gearbox is toast that I should investigate?
Thanks,
Will
