Default Nuts and Bolts

Would be great if the size, thread and length of the fastener accompanied the torque specs in the maintenance manuals .

For instance, I'm the second or third person doing maintenance on a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

The intake plenum is bolted to the intake manifold with 8 bolts. 10mm sockets fit on 5, 1 is 13mm and 12mm on the remaining 2 which are on end positions and both are flange heads. Ot the others 3 of them are flange head, one i captured washer. All have same thread and diameter.

Would be great if the exploded diagrams specified all 3 characterisits of the fasteners for each position.

I do not find this information in the Chilton or the Haynes manuals.

Anyone know where they might be. Even asked at the parts counter at the Mitsubishi dealer. Didn't know.

Suggestions?
