Hey There,

I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander with the Rockford Fosgate Sound package... A couple weeks ago, my front right speaker started to pop everytime the vehicle was starting, occasionally the audio would shut down saying "DC Error".

The other day, I thought I would try to unplug the speaker with the issue and see if that gets rid of the popping and all of a sudden the sub started the buzz/hum really loud... So I plugged the speaker back in, but the problem continued...

I am really strapped for cash at the moment and was hoping that I would be able to find a fix on my own without dropping a bunch of money at the dealership... Has anyone has a similar issue before, or would anyone know the issue? A new speaker along is $250.00...

 

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I'm having the same issue.

 

Sounds like bad ground on an amp, maybe something is grounded out on metal and the ignition is crossed with the same ground. Check your cabling.
