How to reset a Lancer radio
I put a new battery in my 2007 Lancer and of course had to enter the security code when I tried to use the radio. I entered the code but couldn't remember the button to push to finish it off, so I just switched the radio off, thinking I'd do it again later.
When I tried to use the radio later, it started to work OK, but it would stay on for only about 2 minutes then turn off. I tried disconnecting the battery again to see if it would ask to enter the code again, but nothing. It still just comes on for 2 minutes, then off. I've tried pressing the On and CD eject button simultaneously and a few other techniques suggested the Internet to no avail. The local Mitsubishi service department was of no help.
Anyone ever heard of this problem, or got any ideas on how to fix it?
