Outlander tappets

Outlander tappets
I bought a new Outlander in January this year.
It's an auto that can be driven like a manual, 2L petrol engine.
I feel the tappets are too noisy, sounds like a diesel engine.
Any advice available would be appreciated.
Regards
Gary

Did you ever find a fix for these that didn't require replacing all or some of them, physically?
I'm experimenting with one or more of my valve lash adjusters that started noises about 500 miles ago. About 200 miles after a motor oil change... which I find suspicious.
Mine will get quiet after 8 to 11 rev-to-3,000 rpm cycles but returns quickly after 2 - 3 days of non driving or city speed driving.
A strange thing that happened one day: the VLA noise was present for 3 - 4 days and the weather got rainy for 2 days. During the second day I drove my Montero and the tappets were entirely quiet. I wonder if it had to do with the weather and air pressures from the rainy/overcast climate.

Outlander III is not quiet. Mitsu saved some $$$ and did not put proper sound absorbing pads and covers. They try to do car as light as possible, however acoustical insulation is not lightweight. All car manufactures are forced to make their cars lighter because of environmental fanatics and politicians who press manufacturers to save every drop of fuel. Unfortunately...
