Default new already searched for radio harness problem

I have looked everywhere, and I can't find what I need. I own a 2002 eclipse gs. The radio harness that they have at best buy/circuit city/everywhere online doesn't work. I have 3 clusters of wires inside the dath where the stereo goes, and one is a cluster with my red/yellow wires, and the other larger cluster has all of my speaker wires on it. I can't find a harness that will wire into both of them. All of the harnesses that I can find have all of the wires coming out of one cluster. It is dark right now, but I will take a picture tomorrow, and show eveyrone what is going on. I have been back and forth with everyone at circuit city, and best buy, we tried several different harnesses, and none of them fit. We also looked to see if there was anything about the wiring that was significant about the 2002 eclipse gs model, and found nothing. Can anyone help me with a harness that will work?

or the wiring diagrams that are for the eclipse gs?

I see you have the "Sun and sound" package. lol. You have an external amp (its under your passenger seat) I dont think they make a wiring harness for it per se... You may have to end up hard wiring it. I did.

but I looked under the passenger seat, and yea I have a sun roof, and i guess the sound package. I will look closer for the amp, and then I guess I have to bypass it?

Yes. Bypass the amp completely, (as youll be using the amp in your new headunit or even another external amp.)

I looked under the passenger seat, and I couldn't see/feel anything. I even had the "techs" at best buy and circuit city look under the seat. We couldn't find the amplifier. BTW thanks for all of the help.

It's possible that your amp is unde the carpet. My wife owned a 2000 gt with the same sound package, and that is where it was located. Not very impressive for an amp, but it is thin. look there first.

To the best of my knowledge, most 3g Eclipses come with an external amplfier. It'll be underneath the passenger seat, unbolt the seat for easy wiring access, and presto! You have sound now!
