Default 3000GT EXHAUST N/A

I wanted to know what exhaust would you recommend for a non-turbo 3000GT. This is what I have found.

1. Borla: about $850 with shipping about $900 lowest i found.
2. Tanabe SM Super Medallion: $659 with shipping about $720.
3. Dynomax: about $415.00 (must be customized since it doesn't add on as a bolt-on like borla.
4.Magnaflow: about $425 (I think it also must be customized to fit bc it looks to me like a mustang x-pipe configuration.

My decision is I am leaning towards the Tanabe, borla is too much and for american cars i heard (ford Gt,corvette, viper), the Tanabe is 100% Made in Japan. I wanted to ask as well about the headers for a N/A 3000gt. I found them only on 3sx.com $700(before they were $600),obx I heard was crap.
Last, any other high flow cats u guys recommend than random technology($250 on 3sx.com)...might get the test pipe its only $50, but a lot pulling over I would like to avoid. Let me know, thanks

i'm pretty sure the tanabe exhaust is only for the vr4. the only exhaust that fits the n/a is the borla. another option for you would be to go to a muffler shop or something. ask to have them build you a 2.5-3" exhaust and the get 2 mufflers off 3sx or something for it. i was finding out about the myself. 2 apexi n1 mufflers are the best and then the muffler shop will weld them onto the exhaust they make you. that way you can make a nice one on your own. the 3sx headers were only $600 for a little bit cause they were under the monthly specials section. but theyre not on sale anymore. the random technology cat is the best one. race pipes are better but you wont pass emissions and they make a lot of noise. 3sx does have the deal for a full exhaust where you get the headers, cat, and borla exhaust for something like $1500 which is a pretty good deal for everything

The tanabe concept G Blue is for the vr4, this one is for both, on dynamicracing.com it doesnt not say vr4 only on it, so its for the n/a. on another website i also found it to be for the n/a, I dont really wanna go to the muffler shop and do that bc i think it wont be the same quality, i rather get the tanabe, that special now on 3sx is like 1750 it was 1500 b4 but not nemore, im starting to think the tanabe would be the best deal its cheaper than borla like 200 bucks and its mad ein japan

i didnt do it yet. i'm still debating whether or not i should put money into my car or save up for a vr4 or something just as fast. i think the apexi's are something like $250 so theyre not cheap but they sound and work the best. my muffler guy put my car on the lift and he told me if i wanted 3"in pipes for the exhaust it'd cost about $500 for him to weld the pipes and the mufflers together and install it. so figure about $1000 for a custom. and a custom exhaust can be just as good as a tanabe or anything else. it all depends on how good the guy is a bending and welding the pipes.
