Braking and ABS problems

Braking and ABS problems
I have a '92 VR4 with 60k miles, and it has two braking problems. The steering column shakes violently during braking while above 65mph, and the ABS fault light comes on intermittently.
I suspect a warped disc rotor in the first case and a sticking control valve in the second. Any other possibilities?

RE: Braking and ABS problems
I would say your first problem is rotors, like you said. The ABS light can be caused be the relays that control the HU (hydralic unit) under the fusebox cover on the passenger side fender well behind the light. It can also be caused by the abs sensors at each wheel. They read the wheel velocity and detect slippage. If one of those has broken teeth or a loose wire it will cause the anti-lock light to come on.
