Default No 12V power / no start... then it's OK!!

Help -

1999 3000gt sl
63k miles
manual
new battery

The car will randomly not have battery power. The headlight relay was clicking like mad sometimes. I replaced it thinking that was the cause of the battery drain. Wrong!

It's not a drain, it's more like a loose ground. The car will sometimes have no power to even move the seats. It will not start - no click of the solenoid - nothing. If you shake it around - maybe mess with the battery connections (which are tight) it will come back to life. WHAT!!

I've done complete teardowns/engine swaps/etc - but on BMWs. This is my wife's car and I can't find the (presumably) loose ground.

Where should I look? I have it up in the air and can't find anything obvious.

Help please!

Thanks

Chris

Default found loose +terminal

the + was as tight as it would get - but I was able to spin it a little bit by hand. There was alu.foil! under the clamp. I replaced the clamp = time will tell if that fixed it.
