Mitsubishi 3000GT During it's production run, and after, the 3000GT was a pure sports car offering forced induction and all wheel drive, as well as smooth aerodynamic styling.

Why doesn't Mitsubishi make the 3000 GT anymore?

I know what you guys are talking about when you say that the 3kgt goes for WAY over bluebook. I started looking for a 3000gt when I was about 16, and they were all too expensive. Then I joined the millitary and got a regular check. SOMEHOW, omg; I don't know how it happened, but I found a '99. This car only had 33k miles on it. Now, it has 38, but still.. I HAD to buy it. For the year of '99, there are only 289 base models in the united states. There are only 192 SL's, and 45 VR-4's in the united states. . The problem is now, that I want something cheap. Like a 240sx, 300z, IS300 or something like that. I LOVE THIS CAR, but I need to get it paid off fast. Bluebook is 11 grand or something like that... I still owe 17,200 on it (and I have cancelled my extended warranty because of all the stuff I did to it; and added that thousand dollars to the principle) I didnt realize that you don't have to buy a really expensive car to go fast, you just have to know how to upgrade the cheap one you got.
My best friend bought an 86 1/2 supra for $250 and put $3,000 in to it and now he is pushing around 400 whp. Check out my car pics and mods at the cardomain site on my signature. I am sure you will like

It is typical to owe more money for your 3000 than the blue book. Be happy with your ride...it is sweet!

yep' cheap cars are sometimes the super killers out there, and that 400 whp's 86 supra is good to go. only few people modifies that kind of supra...and for 400 whp's thats a thumbs up.

1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT: 3000GT received cosmetic changes front and rear and VR-4 models got a huge rear spoiler. Slow sales would eventually kill the Mitsubishi sports car for the year 2000.

We got a turbo motor (7MGTE)that came from japan for $600 off ebay. We bored out the compressor wheel on the turbo to a 60 trim, and bored out the cylinders and put forged pistons in the block. HKS sequential blow-off valve, msd coil packs with low resistance wires and new bosch plugs, we put the N/A cams in because they are less restrictive and did a valve job (4 way I believe...) just a bunch of little stuff. 18 psi is sure fun, but we needed a copper headgasket with ARP head studs to make sure we could maintain this high pressure.
