Heater core
I have a HJ 1993 Galant. Does anyone have a step by step guide of how to get the heater core out.
It seems that its a 9 hour job the local mechanic to take the old one out and replace the bits.
We then need to source out a replacement and its another 9 hours labour to put the new one in.
That equates to around $1700 A to change the heater element, surely its not rocket science.
Please email me if you give me a return so I can come back to the site.
Even a workshop maunaul foir this model doesn't eexist in Australia and I purchased one on the net and its for the earlier model.
When I complained they quote "Buyer beware"

RE: Heater core
Iam replacing my heat core on a 2000 4 cyl galant. so much stuff to disassemble from the inside. Disconneted the heater hoses and AC lines but while the unit wiggles,I still can't pull it out completely. What can still be holding it up? Are there more through the firewall connections? HELP!
