Default 2008 Lancer ES with 54,000 miles

Report on my Lancer ES with 54,000 miles.

1. Driver seat making a sound when sudden brake or stop of car. Sound coming from under seat no lose nut or bold probably needs more cushion or foam.

2. Bank 1 sensor 3 O2 sensor problem. Reset Check Engine Light before going to dealer big mistake resetting the CEL. It should have done by the dealer. dealer couldn't find the problem after I reset CEL.

3. Rotors and Pads 60 percent worn. Car will wobble when doing 70 and up mph.

4. No tune up done dealer said Tune Up car at 100,000 miles per dealer cars nowadays don't have to be tuned for spark plugs are better quality.

5. Hit rail on 2008 during snow storm doing 25 mph. black ice and car hit rail on both rims driver side. No alignment done for car rans straight and tires wear are even.

No other problems on 2008 Lancer ES.

The car is still shiny and minor ding from flying debris on highway. Paint is still good
other driver complaint about Mitsubishi car paint. I recommend to wax your car every once a month to maintain shiness and cheaping paint especially on hot and snowy weather.

Performance parts will be installed after 80,000 miles warranty expired too risky to put High performance for dealer might reject fixing the car or problems when they see an Intake or cat back exhaust on my car.

Stereo is still the best in the market compared to other Japanese cars. BASS IS LOUDER even it you put it on 4+.

CRUISE CONTROL can be use on 3rd,4th and 5th gears. might be used on 2nd gear.

Tires are worn but thread wear is even no balancing needed.

Summary report:

The engine is still good on gas $20.00 of gas will last for 5 days or more depending on driving.
or should be 200 or 300 miles on a $20.00 tank of gas.

4 gallons of gas can go to 80 to 100 miles depending on traffic and driving habits.

that's all

Just to add to you MPG...

last month I drove my 09 Lancer ES 5sp trans w/ 10000mi on it from Indiana to Florida. Filled up in Indiana at around 2.30/gal, around 40.00, didn't have to fill up again until I got into Florida.

I give it a 10 on MPG.

That's about right for the Lancer and again it depends on the driver.

I noticed the Lancer 08 loves to down shift gear on 3rd and 4th gear but it eats a lot of gas when I down shift all the time.
