Default Tune-up fixed low power problem

#2 spark plug had died. I finally took it to the right mechanic (Eddie at API Service Center | Tires & Auto Repair Charlottesville, VA ) It was running on 3 cylinders but still running. I thought I had four issues (1) low power (2) need tune-up (3) A/C idle pulley going bad (4) exhaust leak at manifold. #2 fixed #1 and #4. Belt removed #3 since A/C doesn't work. The Montero has lived beyond the car's expected life span. Next time I read the repair manual and over-think everything from EGR valve to catalytic converter, I should remember the simple things first. It's a testament of reliability that the car is still on the road driven daily.

Nice ride. Scour the net for parts. There are some salvage parts sites where you can put in request for a specific part. They'll call other scrap yards and try to find it for you. First figure out what needs to be replaced - is it a PS pump, or the PS box. Add fluid to the pump and run it, see if you are loosing fluid and where. Does the pump actually pumps the fluid? You probably can run the truck without the power steering, you just going to have large biceps after some time
