Default 1989 Montero questions

Hiya,

I just bought a Montero, the pervious owner changed in a new speedo gear and didn't swap over the speedo cable adapter key, it's a little plastic thing that slips on the end of the speedo cable and has a key to index it in the speedo gear shaft. Any idea where I could find one?

There is a broken wire hanging just below the battery box. It connects on one end to an electrical connector that feeds into a small black box mounted on the battery heat shield. The small black box runs a wire into the high pressure side of the A/C system towards the expansion valve. I cannot figure out where the broken wire goes, any ideas?

The photos show the small black box, with four wires running into it, the connecter that the four wires come from connects to three wires, the broken wire is red with some black spray paint on it, in one of the photos you can make out the broken end of it. Thanks for looking!!

1989 Dodge Raider 'Desert Runner'
5-speed
3.0l v6
4x4
two door
air conditioning

I found a shop in LA and had a short speedo cable extension made to adapt the Mitsubishi stock 2wd speedo cable to fit, all set with that!
The black box is the external air conditioning temp sensor, it has a resistor in the black box that connects to a copper temperature probe the inserts into the air conditioning high pressure line via a small tube the runs parallel to the pressure line. I found one on a Montero of the same year and it works! My resistor was fried apparently.
