Unfortunately, '91 is pre-OBD II. This means you will not be able to read the codes easily. Try searching the web to see how to read the codes for this year. I recall on a different make of a car for a '93 production year, I could short out a certain pin on a diagnostic connector to ground and the Check Engine light would flash in a specific pattern. Once you know the code(s) you'll know which way to go.
If you suspect MAF malfunction, find specs for properly functioning MAF and compare to yours. You can also try cleaning MAF and check to make sure you don't have a hole somewhere in the air hoses.

OEM suspension replacement parts may cost as much as OME or even more. Check out prices and make a call based on what you are looking for and your budget. I often use MitsubishiParts.com | "Mitsubishi Parts" at Less Than Dealer Wholesale or Mitsubishi Auto Parts, Up to 70 % Off | Discount OEM Factory Direct Wholesale Mitsubishi Parts Warehouse for OEM parts. There are other sites/places.
What kind of suspension work are you looking to do?
