Default 2002 montero xls limp mode .. Question about sensor

My SUV is stuck in limp mode and the dealer said its a code 27 trans mission range switch . Is the range switch the same thing as a neutral safety switch or is it just a range switch or seņor . Also they said the fuse blew for this sensor, anyone know where this fuse is on the SUV , I thought I tested all the fuses

It keeps blowing the backup light fuse... When it's blown it only has rev and 3rd gear and almost stalls out. Input a new fuse in and it shifts again just fine

well when i looked up the code

27 Injector No. 1 Control Circuit.
27 Injector No. 2 Control Circuit.
27 Injector No. 3 Control Circuit.
27 Injector No. 4 Control Circuit.

based off this website http://www.mivec.co.nz/tech/Mitsu_DiagCode.pdf

I'm thinking its the wiring its self, best bet would be to change the fuse and check the brain for any signs of corrosion. try a flash of the system and if that doesn't work you might have to change it.

i remember something like this happened to my sisters ml320 the drains on the car was clogged and water started to seep into the truck and rusted both computers. and he car was only a 2007. it was so bad that the car wound not even turn on, and for example you would push one thing and it would move another. i feel like its the same situation.

have you changed anything on the car lately? like installed something, messed with the wiring or got some minor work done?

Not when it started , just did it out of the blue. I just changed the pcm thinking it was that and had the keys re programmed but didn't fix it . The dealer said if the fuse keeps blowing then change the trans range switch
